2012 Yamaha X-City

Big 16inch front and 15inch rear wheels mean that the X-City always provides a smooth, comfortable ride. The large, 10.5 litre fuel tank means less stops on long journeys. But it's the subtle design touches that set the X-City apart, including a sleek instrument panel, adjustable windscreen and stylish front design. With a sculpted dual seat, plenty of storage and passenger grips, it's the ultimate high-wheel city scooter. Experience the difference at your local dealer

Good motorcycle for beginners?

March 26th, 2011 admin 9 comments

Okay so I'm getting a motorcycle I'm like 5'7 with not too much arm strength, but I'm workin on it. I know that eventually I will find the perfect bike, but right now I'm only a beginner so I need a good bike for beginners. I do want a bike thats looks hott though. Like the street racing type bike, I was tryna find a nice lookin 125cc but they all look like old people scooters..Not that I have anything against old people...on scooters. I just want an awesome lookin bike that will make little kids go "cooooooollll!". If not a 125cc maybe a 250cc? I dont know. I'm just really into bikes and I love just cruising on them and just being me, my bike, and the concrete. What a rush..I mean if its that cool from the back I know it would be even better riding alone. And I have to have something that looks better than my brothers(a little sibling rivalry? Yes.).
oh yeah I don't need any douche bag answers. I know people ask this question 1000 times a day but if I wanna spend 5points on a question let me.

400cc Motorcycle at 17 years old?

March 25th, 2011 admin 2 comments

Hi there,
I'm currently 16, seventeen soon. I live in the United Kingdom and am currently contemplating whether or not to get a bike or a car. I've had a 50cc 6-geared motorbike (Aprilia RS which did between 60 - 70mph) on the road for around a year now, and I do occasional track racing on bigger bikes (250cc & 400cc) so I'm a 'fairly' competent rider, and I've gathered allot of road confidence over the past year.

I've got to make a decision soon about what to progress onto, but I know I'm going to miss motorcycling so much if I chose a car. I'm put off by 125cc and 250cc bikes as they still seem like 'scooters' to me and there are very few with the riding position and styling I like (plus they still sound tinny!). Then I found the Kawasaki ZXR400, which naturally is a 400cc bike. Anyone familiar with the bike will know it's fairly little and light, and a great starter bike (or so ive been told) which suits me perfectly as I'm fairly little and prefer a lighter bike. Anyway, my real question here is can I ride a 400cc bike on the road in England at the age of 17 legally? (for reference I currently hold a provisional driving license, a CBT certificate, and a years no claims insurance on my 50cc) any opinion on bike choice etc. would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
